With decades of collective experience in global mining jurisdictions including Pakistan, the team includes proven leaders in geology, mine development, project finance, and stakeholder engagement. Several members have successfully advanced exploration-stage projects into production and have held senior roles with major international mining companies. Directors & Management

Kent Couillard, Executive Chairman and Director - Mr. Couillard is a senior mining executive with over 30 years of experience in the natural resources sector, with a strong track record in tier-one mergers and acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles in both public and private companies across mining and energy. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of Probe Resources, a publicly traded oil and gas exploration company based in Houston, Texas. Under his leadership, the company successfully raised $140 million in capital and drilled five successful offshore wells in the Gulf of Mexico before being acquired by Rooster Petroleum. Mr. Couillard was also a Director and led corporate finance activities for Champion Bear Resources, a publicly listed precious metals exploration company. Earlier in his career, he was a Partner and consistently ranked as a top producer at Yorkton Securities, a leading natural resources brokerage, which later became part of Macquarie. Mr. Couillard brings deep industry insight, capital markets expertise, and a history of successful project execution to the board. Mr. Couillard attended Harvard University for Economics.

Tim McGuire, President & CEO and Director – Mr. McGuire is an established international banking executive with over 25 years of experience in structuring and financing mining, oil, and gas ventures through two of the world's leading international banks and an export credit agency. Over the course of his career, he has facilitated more than $25 billion in project financing for mining developments across the globe. With deep expertise in political risk assessment and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations, Mr. McGuire brings a strategic, risk-conscious perspective to global resource financing. He currently serves as a Director of the Canada China Business Council and the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). He was also a founder and Director of Xplore Resources, a publicly traded mining company listed on the TSX. Mr. McGuire holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) in International Business from the University of Victoria. He has further enhanced his leadership and strategic capabilities through executive education programs at Harvard University, Columbia University, and INSEAD.

Mukarram Zehri, In-Country Relations and Director – Mr. Zehri is an entrepreneur with deep-rooted experience in the mining industry in Pakistan, particularly in the mineral-rich region of Balochistan. A native of Chaghi, Mr. Zehri comes from one of the pioneering mining families in Pakistan, proudly representing the third generation of miners in the region since the 1950s. Though educated in the United States, he returned to Pakistan to learn the mining trade firsthand from his family and went on to establish several successful mining ventures of his own. Mr. Zehri’s deep local knowledge, longstanding relationships, and cultural ties to Balochistan give him a unique advantage in navigating the complexities of mining operations in the region. His strong local presence and credibility continue to support the successful advancement of numerous projects. Currently residing in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Mr. Zehri maintains active business interests and is a respected member of the Pakistani expatriate community. In recognition of his contributions to strengthening Pakistan’s international business relationships, he was appointed Honorary Investment Counsellor to Bosnia & Herzegovina by the Prime Minister’s Office, Government of Pakistan. Mr. Zehri has also served in key roles with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), including as Chairman of the Oil & Mineral Committee (2009–2012) and as Founder and Chair of the Pakistan–Bosnia Committee (2007–2009), where he played a pivotal role in attracting foreign investment to Pakistan. He currently serves as a Director of Zehri Onyx & Minerals, Chaghi Hills Explore & Mine (Pvt) Ltd., and Chaghi Hills PakCan Mining Enterprises Ltd.

Conan Taylor, LLB/JD, Legal Counsel and Director - Mr. Taylor is a Canadian lawyer and the Managing Partner of TJ Law Group, a network of law firms with offices in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. With over 30 years of experience in corporate and commercial litigation, Mr. Taylor has successfully resolved more than $500 million in contested claims, earning a reputation for strategic legal insight and practical risk management. His practice focuses on advising clients across a range of industries on litigation risk, contract negotiation and drafting, and general legal oversight. His deep expertise in complex disputes and preventative legal strategies makes him a valuable advisor to both private and public entities. Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Taylor served for nine years as a Pilot Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, including three years as a NATO Exchange Officer based in the United Kingdom. He retired from military service in 1989 with the rank of Captain. Mr. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy with First Class Honours from the University of Alberta (1993) and earned his LLB/JD from Queen’s University in 1996. He is a member in good standing with the Law Societies of Alberta and British Columbia.

Kevin Vienneau, B. Eng, Director – Mr. Kevin Vienneau is a seasoned mining engineer with over 25 years of experience in mineral exploration, mine development, and production, with a strong focus on gold and base metal projects in the Bathurst Mining Camp of New Brunswick. His extensive background includes work with notable operations such as Noranda’s world-renowned Brunswick #12 mine and lead smelter, as well as roles with Stratabound Minerals Corp. and Castle Resources. Mr. Vienneau brings a well-rounded skill set to the mining sector, with expertise in permitting, stakeholder negotiations, land and mineral acquisitions, and distressed asset acquisitions through bankruptcy proceedings. His comprehensive understanding of both technical and regulatory aspects of the mining industry makes him a strategic asset in project advancement. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Dalhousie University and continues to contribute to the mining industry as a Director of Founders Metals Inc.

Fuzail Siddiqui, Ph.D., P. Geo., Geology/Mining Expert Advisor to the Board - Widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s leading geoscientists, Dr. Siddiqui brings over 55 years of diverse experience in geoscience, mineral exploration, and project development across multiple continents. His distinguished career spans:

  • 15 years in academia and field research, with a strong focus on the geology of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Balochistan;

  • 25 years in operational roles in Zambia’s world-class mining and mineral processing industry, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in exploration, mining, processing, and marketing;

  • 15 years as a Consultant and Project Manager based in Toronto, overseeing mineral projects across Pakistan—including in Gilgit-Baltistan, KP, Balochistan, Punjab, and the former FATA—specializing in commodities such as gold, copper, and gemstones.

Dr. Siddiqui is recognized for his ability to advance mineral prospects from discovery through to production. His clients have included both Canadian and Pakistani private sector companies, as well as various Federal and Provincial Government agencies in Pakistan.

Jodie Gibson, P. Geo, Chief Geologist – Mr. Gibson is a Professional Geologist with over 18 years of international mineral exploration experience, spanning the full project lifecycle—from early-stage regional targeting to advanced resource definition. His work has contributed to significant discoveries across a range of commodities and jurisdictions. Throughout his career, Mr. Gibson has held key exploration roles with a number of respected mining and exploration companies, including K2 Gold Corporation, Blackwolf Copper and Gold Ltd., White Gold Corp., GroundTruth Exploration, Centerra Gold Inc., Revolution Resources, Full Metal Zinc, Underworld Resources, and McLeod Williams Capital Corp. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to geoscience and exploration success in the Yukon, Mr. Gibson was honored with the 2020 Yukon Prospector of the Year Award, a prestigious industry accolade acknowledging his role in multiple discoveries in the region. Mr. Gibson brings a proven track record of geological insight, exploration leadership, and project advancement to the team.

Peter Rawlins, Chief Financial Officer – Mr. Rawlins is an experienced mining finance executive with extensive experience in capital markets, debt financing, and corporate finance. Over the course of his career, he has played key roles in structuring and executing financial strategies for both major financial institutions and publicly listed mining companies. Mr. Rawlins began his career in mining finance at Scotiabank, before moving to CIBC, where he co-led the bank’s mining corporate team, advising and financing clients across the global mining sector. Following his tenure in banking, he served as Treasurer for Artemis Gold, overseeing treasury operations and capital planning. Most recently, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer at NexMetals Mining, where he led capital markets strategy, treasury, and financial reporting. Mr. Rawlins holds a Master of Science in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as undergraduate degrees from the University of Western Ontario and the University of Windsor.

Shanda Kilborn, Corporate Secretary and Investor Relations - Ms. Kilborn brings over 20 years of experience in the mining sector, specializing in corporate development, investor relations, and corporate affairs for publicly traded companies. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, stakeholders, and the broader capital markets community. She has provided strategic advisory and communications support to several respected mining companies, including Exploits Discovery Corp., Abitibi Royalties Inc., Canadian Gold Corp., and Auburn Partners Inc. Ms. Kilborn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa and is known for her effective communication, strategic insight, and commitment to enhancing corporate visibility within the resource sector.

Deep Rock Drilling (Private) Limited – Deep Rock Drilling was established in 1984 and is a leading mining company in Pakistan in the fields of drilling, mineral and coal exploration, groundwater exploration, installation of tube-wells, hydrogeological studies and geophysical surveys.
